The Galah Weather Vane showsa couple of galahs at workwrecking the arrow.
The Galah is an Australian Bird also known as ;
- Rose breasted Cockatoo.
- Galah Cockatoo.
- Roseate Cockatoo.
Pink and Grey is their colour.
Technically speaking Eolophus roseicapilla is another name. They can be found all over Australia.
They can be a very destructive and our weathervane shows them gnawing away at the arrow they are standing on.
Galahs are attractive and playful. They can be trained to talk.
They do get up to playful mischief and that is where the term, ” don’t be or act like a Galah” came from.
This weathervane captures their antics beautifully. Pink and Grey is their colour. A flock of Galahs is wonderful ,colourful sight.

How It Works
The arrow and figure are one and revolve on a ball bearing over a stainless Steel Shaft.
Made and powder coated in Australia.
Just like the early Ford motor vehicles, you can have any colour so long as it is black.
Installation
A Stainless Steel mounting plate is available for fixing to the ridge line of a metal roof or a wooden garden post.
Alternatively there is a Stainless Steel gable bracket available (see Fixing Brackets).

The Gable Bracket attaches the weathervane to the vertical face of the Gable.
It is suitable for Tile and Metal Roofs.
As the shaft extends down the face of the Gable, it has to be 200mm longer than the ridge line bracket.
2. The Stainless Steel Mounting Plate is supplied flat. It has slots that allow it to be bent to the exact pitch of the roof.
For the ridge line of metal roofs. For flat surfaces and for posts.
Purchasing the suitable bracket makes installation much easier and enjoyable.
