Kangaroo Weathervane. The kangaroo is one of the unofficial symbols of Australia. The kangaroo appears with the Emu as an emblem on the Australian Coat of Arms. Both of them are on some of Australian currency. Qantas and the Royal Australian Air Force use the Kangaroo as definitive signage.
They move around by hopping and can reach speeds of 70 klm/hour over short distances. Being the worlds largest marsupial they can grow up to 90kgs and grow up to 2metres tall. The Kangaroo is of spiritual significance to the Aboriginals. However they accept them as a source of food. The meat is very high in protein and the skins were useful for clothing and rugs and many other items including water bags.https://onekindplanet.org/animal/kangaroo/

How It Works
The arrow and the pelican figure revolve on a ball bearing over a solid bushed stainless steel shaft. Well balanced and proportionally correct these Australian made weathervanes from Glenview Products actually work. The weathervane is powder-coated. As with the early Ford motor vehicles, you can have any colour so long as it is black.
A stainless steel mounting plate is available for fixing to a flat surface such as the ridge line of a metal roof or a wooden garden post. Alternatively there is a steel gable bracket available for fixing to the apex of the gable (see Fixing Brackets).
