The Blue Tuna Weathervane. This magnificent fish belong to the tribe “Thunnini”, a sub-grouping of the mackerel family. There are 15 species and they vary in size from 1.8 kg up to the Atlantic Bluefin Tuna which grow to 684 kg and are believed to live up to 50 years.
They are able predators and are capable of speeds up to 75 km/h. A magnificent game fish and regularly sort after commercially.

Installation
A stainless steel mounting plate is available for fixing to a flat surface such as the ridge line of a metal roof or a wooden garden post. Alternatively there is a steel gable bracket available for fixing to the apex of the gable (see Fixing Brackets).

All fixing Brackets are 316 Stainless Steel.
- The Gable Bracket is for attaching weathervanes to the vertical face of the Gable. It can be used on Tile and Metal Roofs.
- The shaft extends down the face of the gable, consequently it is 500mm long. Where as the ridge bracket shaft which is only 300mm long.
- The Mounting Plate is also called a Ridge Bracket.
- It is supplied flat with laser cut slots to allow plate to be bent to the exact pitch of the roof.
- Used on the ridge line of metal roofs. Also, it can be attached to flat roofs and surfaces.
