The Angus Bull Weathervane depicts accurately the stature of this breed of animal which has been with us for over 1000 years. Angus Cattle  (Aberdeen Angus) a breed of cattle commonly used in beef production. They are naturally “polled”, that is they do not have horns.  They are famous for their finely marbled meat.The Angus Bull mounted atop of this weathervane, will faithfully face into the oncoming wind day after day and establish exactly where the wind is coming from.

Measurements

Standing on a 700mm long arrow, our Angus Bull is 290mm high and 350mm long the directionals measure 590mm and the overall height is 720mm.

How It Works

The arrow and figure revolve on a ball bearing over a stainless Steel Shaft. The weathervane is powder-coated and like the early Ford motor vehicles, you can have any colour so long as it is black.

Installation

Stainless Steel mounting plate is available for fixing to the ridge line of a metal roof or a wooden garden post. Alternatively there is a Stainless Steel gable bracket available (see Fixing Brackets). If you would like to order a fixing bracket to suit this product, please select from the product options above. Which one ?

The Stainless Steel Gable Bracket. This is used to attach the weathervane to the face of the Gable. Suitable for both Tile and Metal Roofs. Because the shaft extends down the face of the Gable, it is 200mm longer than the ridge line bracket.

Stainless Steel Mounting Plate (supplied flat with laser cut slots to allow plate to be bent to the exact pitch of the roof). Used on the roof ridge of metal roofs. Also adaptable to flat surfaces and mounting on posts.
