End of the Game Weathervane (as depicted at Lords Cricket Ground). Almost 100 years old. A great and meaningful symbol of the great game of cricket.

Description

.End of the Game weathervane.

Inspired by the famous and much loved ‘Old Father Time”weathervane. Given to Lord’s in 1926 by the architect of the Grandstand, Sir Herbert Baker.[1][2]
The symbolism of the figure derives from Law 16(3) of the Laws of Cricket: “After the call of Time, the bails shall be removed from both wickets.”

Many followers of the game would love to go to Lords but are not able to, Instead, however, they can have their own Father Time token just like the one at Lords.

They may not have a grandstand, but they do have a house or a shed. If necessary  they could place it on a post in the garden for all to see and admire.

Made of Stainless Steel this End of the Game weathervane will give years and years of enjoyment and service.

How It Works

Both the arrow and the Father Time figures revolve on a ball bearing over a Stainless Steel shaft.

Well balanced and proportionally correct these Australian made weathervanes from Glenview Products actually work.

The weathervane is powder coated and just as Henry Ford said, you can have any colour so long as it is black.
